
Ali Reza Esmaeeli said that three main objectives of the international section are creating an opportunity for Quranic thinkers, researchers and artists to exchange ideas and experiences, providing links between Quranic figures and institutes, and identifying the latest Quranic achievements in scientific-research arenas in other countries.
“Our programs are divided into two parts: exhibition and Quranic research. In the first part, works by a number of famed foreign artists will be put on display. This will be an opportunity for our artists to get familiar with various art styles.”
He said a number of Quran translators from different countries like Pakistan, the Philippines and Kenya would take part in the exhibit. “The Quran translation by Pakistani Bakhtiareddin will also be released at the exhibition.
Referring to the motto of this year’s exhibition “Quran, Book of Awakening”, Esmaeeli stated that in line with the motto, the international section plans to organize a forum with the presence of Iranian and foreign thinkers.
While the International Quran Exhibition started Thursday, July 28, its international section will open in a ceremony on August 10.
Director of the international section of the Quran Exhibition also talked about the programs of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) in other countries during the holy month of Ramadan.
