The city of New York tried to sabotage their generators so they wouldn't have heat. They tried to remove them with threats of mass arrests, but they didn't leave
The Wall Street Protestors in New York who have started a global movement against capitalism that is still thriving were finally beaten, pushed and arrested out of Zuccotti Park in the early hours of November 15th. The police set up barricades that had remained in place until this morning. The authorities removed the barricades, having devised a strategy to keep the park unoccupied.

New York City authorities have banned lying on benches, lying on the ground, tents, sleeping beds, in short anything that would enable the protestors to remain in the park for an indefinite period.

About 300 protestors showed up to reoccupy the park as soon as they found out about the lifting of the barricades.

Zuccotti Park was formerly known as "Liberty Park," until the owners decided to exercise their capitalist rights and rename it after the person who paid for it: An ironic twist that perfectly illustrates the way capitalism operates.
