
The European initiative against settlements and the wall, based in The Hague, announced that it was preparing to launch a media and awareness campaign, against the apartheid wall built by the Israeli occupation on Palestinian territories in the West Bank occupied in 1967, and against the escalated expansion of settlements, under the slogan "No to the wall ... no to settlements".
He added that the campaign will begin on 1st July, and end on 9th of the same month, pointing out that it will include a meeting that the Initiative will be holding with human rights organizations and UN to hand them over a study on the effects of the wall after eight years of the issuance of the ICJ ruling. Meanwhile other seminars about the wall and settlements will take place in several Arab and foreign countries.
Abu Rashid stressed that the European initiative will seek through this campaign to deliver a message to the President of the ICJ in The Hague in which stresses on the need to find an international executive body able to enforce the implementation of the ICJ ruling as the occupation is neglecting and violating it.
According to the head of the "European initiative against the wall and settlements", the campaign will emphasize on the need to compel the occupation authorities to comply with the international legitimate resolutions, to stop its violations of international law, to demolish the apartheid wall, to halt all settlement and Judaization projects, especially in East al-Quds ('Jerusalem'), and to fix all the damage caused by the construction of the wall, including in the occupied city and its surroundings.,
