The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) has recently published a book in Arabic by Mr Amine Sossi Alaoui titled “Characteristics of Stereotypical Images of Islam and Muslims in European Cinema: Cartoons in France as a Case in Point”.
The medium-size 79-page book presents a study of new Islamophobia in Europe, which investigates the ideological, educational and media values underlying TV child programs in France, in order to identify the nature of stereotypes in French TV programs intended for children and how they contribute further to the fear of Islam and Muslims and xenophobia.

The book also proposes practical measures to effectively address negative stereotypes of Islam and Muslims propagated by mainstream media in the west, Rohama reported.
