Israeli occupation forces waged, at dawn on Thursday, July 12, a campaign of raids and arrests in different parts of the occupied West Bank, where they arrested 17 Palestinians.

Israeli troops operating in the West Bank overnight apprehended 17 wanted Palestinians. The Palestinians were taken in for questioning by security personnel, "Yediot Ahronot" Hebrew newspaper said on its Website on Thursday morning, July 12.

Local Sources said that 13 Israeli military vehicles stormed the city of Tubas at down and arrested the Jamal Rakz Mousselmani, 18, after storming his home and damaging its contents.

The occupation forces have also stormed the house of Mahmoud Abu Salah Hamada, 40, where they put him and his family members in one room, before discovering that the soldiers had stole 9 thousand shekels from his home.

The occupation forces raided a house belonging to Ibrahim Ammar Fekh, 20, in Tubas where they searched it for long hours and damaged its contents. Local sources pointed out that the Israelis have set up checkpoints between Tubas and Faraa refugee camp at dawn and detained a number of vehicles.

The sources added that the occupation forces stormed, at down on Thursday, the villages of Araqah and Anza in Jenin district, they patrolled the streets and erected a checkpoint at the entrance to Anza village.

In Nablus, the Israelis forces erected a checkpoint on Thursday morning at the crossroads of the town of Beit Dajan east of the city, and searched vehicles of the Palestinian people who were obliged to lift their clothes during the inspections, PIC reporter added.

Meanwhile, the Zionist occupation forces have stepped up, on Thursday, its security measures in the old town in the occupied city of Al-Khalil.

Eyewitnesses said that a large force of Israeli soldiers were deployed near the military checkpoint at Bab Zawiya, while other soldiers were deployed in the markets of the old town and at the gates of the Ibrahimi Mosque and near "Beit Hadassah" settlement established on the Palestinian citizens' lands under the pretext of providing security for their settlers.

The occupation forces assaulted citizens in Al-Khalil city during the past two days, where they prevented them from crossing the barriers and broke into the Palestinian shops and homes in conjunction with the settlers' attacks on citizens.
